Hi, I’m Nuru, the founder of Keep Inspiring New Dreamers LLC. I’ve faced my own battles with mental health—living with bipolar 2, anxiety, and depression. Over the years, I’ve tried countless medications, been hospitalized, and even experienced self-harm. These painful moments have shaped my understanding of the complexity and struggle that come with mental health, and they’ve fueled my passion for breaking the stigma that surrounds it.
Keep Inspiring New Dreamers was born out of the desire to create a space where mental health is not only acknowledged but understood. KIND represents the power of empathy, compassion, and the healing that comes from community. In contrast, UGLY acknowledges the harsh, uncomfortable truths of mental health—how it can feel isolating, overwhelming, and unspoken, but also how confronting these truths head-on can lead to growth, resilience, and hope.
I believe in the power of vulnerability—the courage it takes to admit that we don’t have all the answers and that it’s okay to struggle. Mental health doesn’t always fit into a neat box, and neither should we. Through this platform, I hope to offer a space for people to find solidarity in their experiences, share their stories, and remind each other that even in our darkest moments, we can still dream and grow.
This isn’t just a business; it’s a mission to change the conversation around mental health, to make it a topic we can talk about openly, without shame. No matter where you are on your journey, you are not alone, and your dreams matter.
